About

TATTERSALL Interiors is known for well-balanced elegant and classical, yet modern, interior design and architecture. We have the great privilege to create interiors for a varied and loyal international clientele. Mainly in Switzerland, but also abroad, we restore and renovate older properties, design new builds and decorate and furnish apartments and houses. Be it a small, single room renovation or a major project like remodelling an entire estate. Locations vary from Zürich to lake shore and mountain properties, the South of France, Paris and Burgundy to Germany and the Netherlands.

Every house and interior should reflect the character, personality and life- style of the person who lives there. Interiors should feel like they have evolved over time and should not be dominated by the decorator’s taste. Therefore we listen to our client’s desires and wishes and guide these with our knowledge and experience to create warm and timeless homes. We design and work with the best national and international craftsmen, furniture, accessory and textile manufacturers. Our network of renown antiques and art dealers allows us to put the final, very personal touches to every project.

Our success is based on the many people we may call our clients for decades and who come back to us with family members and friends. For this we are ever so grateful!

Ernst-Robbert Tattersall and Marius Peter, Tattersall Interiors

Ernst-Robbert Tattersall was born in the Netherlands, where he finished high school at a very early age. He moved to Switzerland to study French at the University of Neuchâtel and to enter the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne. But after spending a year in the USA he chose not to continue the hotel school and started the study of architecture and interior design at the University of Applied Science in Detmold, Germany. He graduated with a master’s and a project for Paloma Picasso, Tiffany’s, New York. In the years to follow he worked for different interior architecture offices and gained profound knowledge working for renowned antiques dealers and textile manufacturers in the Netherlands, USA, Germany and Switzerland. In 2004 he started his own business based in Zürich.

Ernst-Robbert divides his time between Zürich and his 15th Century house in Burgundy, France, which he renovates with enormous passion together with his partner Marius Peter.

Marius P. Peter, born in Switzerland with Austrian roots, grew up on the shores of Lake Constance where he finished high school. Already in his childhood years he was fascinated by music, art and classical architecture and over the years acquired an enormous knowledge in these fields, especially in opera. His private library contains more than five thousand books and equally as many CD’s in classical music. He studied at the ETH in Zürich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) where he graduated with a master’s in architecture. Subsequently, he worked for several architects and urban planners and founded his own business as interior designer for private clients, museum exhibitions as well as window displays. Since 2006 he works together with his partner Ernst-Robbert Tattersall.
